Letter sent to the Jamestown Sun:
The illness of our daughter, Anne Dodson, has brought many challenges and struggles. Throughout it friends and family members have supported us in a variety of ways. The benefit last Friday, however, stands out for its generosity and community spirit.
We cannot thank enough the event’s organizers and the businesses, organizations, and individuals who donated items for consumption and the silent auction. We wish space allowed us to name each one of you.
Thanks also goes out to the many people who attended the event. Anne’s treatment is far from over and every donation helps.
In the end, though, it is not the monetary contributions that stand out, but the spirit of generosity and the very presence of support that uplifted our spirits and, particularly Anne’s. For that, and all the prayers, we are deeply grateful. Thank you.
There are so many people to thank and we are afraid we might accidentally leave someone out.
Special thanks go to the organizers:
Paul and Claudia Sharp
Mike and Cindy Gee, Kristen, Erin, and Kyle
Jeff and Marie Willer
Margo and Roger Haut, Chandler
Bonnie and Steve Laber, Medora and Dominic
Friends and classmates of Anne: Meghan, Mimi, Nichole, Sarah, Jacinda, Chelsea, Delayna, Amanda, Bekka, Hunter, Tyler, Noah, Cameron, Zachary, Adam, Chandler, and Levi.
